How your personal information may be used by the ESFA

The Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) is an executive agency of the Department for Education (DfE). This privacy notice explains how we use your personal information. For the purposes of relevant data protection legislation, the DfE is the data controller for personal information processed. The ESFA is responsible for funding education and skills in England for children, young people and adults. It is also responsible for delivery of key services in the education and skills sector in England including the apprenticeship service, the provision of information, advice and guidance through the National Careers Service, and the Learning Records Service. We may use your personal information in our delivery of this work. We will only keep your personal information for as long as we need it after which it will be securely destroyed.

Your information may be shared with third parties for education, training, employment and well-being related purposes, including for research. This will only take place where the law allows it and the sharing is in compliance with data protection legislation.

The English European Social Fund (ESF) Managing Authority (or agents acting on its behalf) may contact you in order for them to carry out research and evaluation to inform the effectiveness of training.

You will be asked at enrolment if you would like to be contacted about courses or learning opportunities and for surveys & research by either post, email or phone. These will be recorded on your learner account and can be changed at any time. To do so please email info@tacc.ac.uk.

How the College will use your information

We will use your information to provide the service requested. We may share your personal data between our services and with partner organisations, such as government bodies and the police. You can get free internet access in our cyber cafe, at libraries and local community hubs.

Where you provide a mobile number and/or an email address we will use these to contact you regarding any courses you enrol on or enquire about.
